Frequently asked questions.
Why hire a biohazard cleaning company?
Blood, bodily fluids, drugs, and used needles are not only unpleasant to deal with—they pose serious health risks. These materials can carry dangerous pathogens such as HIV, Hepatitis B and C, and other infectious diseases. Attempting to clean them without proper training, protective equipment, and disposal methods can expose homeowners and business owners to significant physical and legal hazards.
A professional biohazard cleaning company is trained and certified to safely handle, disinfect, and dispose of these materials in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Biological matter that has been wiped clean and cannot be seen by the human eye can still be significantly present and pose a serious risk to health if not completely treated. We ensure that the affected area is not only visibly clean, but fully decontaminated, restoring safety and peace of mind. Hiring a professional is not just the safer choice—it’s the right one.
What types of scenes do you clean?
We handle a wide range of scenarios, including:
Unattended deaths
Suicides and homicides
Crime scenes
Hoarding and gross filth conditions
Drug labs and needle sweeps
Vehicle decontamination
Blood and bodily fluid spills
Infectious disease control (COVID-19, C. diff, MRSA, etc.)
Odor elimination
Homeless encampment cleanup
Are your services covered by insurance?
In many cases, yes.
Homeowners insurance, auto insurance, and business liability policies often cover biohazard cleanup depending on the situation. We can assist you in filing a claim and provide all necessary documentation.
How much does biohazard cleanup cost?
Cost depends on several factors such as the size of the affected area, level of contamination, equipment needed, and disposal requirements. Cost will differ drastically from a full house hoarding cleanup to a hotel room decontamination. However we always provide upfront estimates before starting work, and if you provide a written estimate from another company we will beat their price by 10%.
Are you certified to handle this type of work?
Yes. Our technicians are trained in OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards, and we are compliant with EPA, DOT, and local regulations regarding the handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
How long does the cleanup take?
Most jobs can be completed in a few hours to a full day, depending on severity. Hoarding or decomposition scenes may require multiple days. We aim to work discreetly and efficiently while ensuring thorough decontamination.
Do you offer emergency or after-hours service?
Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency response for trauma scenes, unattended deaths, and urgent biohazard events.
Will there be a lingering odor?
We use industrial-grade deodorizers, enzyme treatments, and odor control equipment such as ozone and hydroxyl generators to fully eliminate biological odors—not just mask them. Should an odor present itself within 30 days of cleaning we will come back out and reassess the scene to determine if the odor is new or old, and determine the course of action to be taken.
What happens to the contaminated waste?
All biohazardous materials are collected, bagged, labeled, and disposed of in accordance with state and federal laws using licensed medical waste facilities
